Zinc is well known as an effective medium to protect e.g. iron based materials against corrosion. Zinc is soluble in many acids and it is widely used as a reagent for many reactions in the chemical industry. Together with copper it forms brass alloys. By air atomization zinc powders obtain a spherical shape. Zinc powders are available in different cuts.
